Introducción

Como siempre, menos tiempo para pintar del que me gustaría, y también que he dedicado algo de tiempo a imprimir cosas en 3D.

43. Busto Acherontia

Introducción

Este mes he recibido mi pedido del kickstarter de Luxumbra.

This month I have received my pledge from Luxumbra's kickstarter.

31. Auxilias de Neoterra

Introducción/Introduction

En este último mes he empezado a pintar dos Auxilias con sus respectivos Auxbots, una tropa del juego Infinity. Estos han sido los avances hasta ahora.

In the last month I have started to paint two Auxilias with their Auxbots, a troop from Infinity the game. This has been the progress until now.

Imprimación/Priming

Empiezo con Surface Primer Black 70.602 utilizando aerógrafo:

I start with Surface Primer Black 70.602 using the airbrush:

Aplico Surface Primer Grey 70.601 de manera cenital:

I apply Surface Primer Grey 70.601 in a cenital way:

Continuo con White Primer 72.002 en las zonas más protuberantes:

Azul/Blue

Utilizo Blue 71.004 como color base:

Continuó con una mezcla de Blue 71.004 y Turquoise 72.024 en una proporción 2/1 a la que añado White 71.001 para iluminar:

Por último repaso juntas entre placas de armadura con una mezcla de Blue 71.004 y Black 71.057:

30. Diablilla de Slanesh (Clase Roman Lappat)

Introducción/introduction

A finales de noviembre asistí en Madrid a un curso impartido por Roman Lappat. Roman es un pintor y artista realmente impresionante y colaborador habitual de Massive Voodo. Fue un fin de semana completo de happy painting en el que aprendí varias técnicas nuevas y me lo pasé genial.

Si tenéis la oportunidad de asistir a alguna de las clases de Roman ¡no lo dudéis!

At the end of november I went to a course of Roman Lappat in Madrid. Roman is a breathtaking painter and artist and an habitual collaborator of Massive Voodo. It was an entire weekend of happy painting when I learnt new techniques and had an awesome time.

If you have de oportunity to assisst to a Roman course ¡do not hesitate!

29. Lyssette Elven Mage

Introducción

Este mes y a petición de una amiga he pintado su Lyssette, una miniatura ya con tiempo pero que yo encuentro bastante bonita.

This month, as a request from a friend, I have paint her Lyssette, a miniture with some time but that I found quite beautiful.

22. Fusileros de Panoceanía 6.

Introducción/Introduction

Desgraciadamente este mes apenas he podido avanzar nada. Tengo un nuevo trabajo, me he mudado de ciudad y todo ha sido un poco caótico. Intenté llevarme las miniaturas y cosas de hobby y este fue el resultado:

Unfortunately this month I couldn't make much progress. I have a new job, I've moved to another town and everything was a bit chaotic. I tried to take miniatures and hobby stuff with me and this was the result:

Al menos no se rompió nada, pero tuve que montar mucho.

Sin más, así está el fusilero hacker.

At least nothing got broken, but I've got to assembled a lot.

21. Fusileros de PanOceanía 5.

Introducción/Introduction

En este mes he pintado la fusilera que viene en la caja de Operation: Icestorm o en starter pack de PanOceanía. Su nombre es Sandra y a falta de un par de detalles ya está terminada.

This month I have painted the woman fusilier that comes in the Operation: Icestorm box or in the PanOceania starter pack. Her name is Sandra and, with a couple of details left, is already finished.

En esta entrada termino completamente el pintado de uno de los fusileros.

In this post I finish completely one of the fusilier.

18. Fusileros de Panoceanía 3.

Introducción/Introduction

Este mes he avanzado poco pero he dado la capa base a casi todos los elementos de las miniaturas. Ya puede apreciarse el esquema y como será el resultado final.

I didn't advance much this month but I have done the first layer of almost every element of the miniatures. The squeme and how the final result will look like are now showing up.

17. Fusileros de Panoceanía 2.

Introducción/Introduction

Este mes no ha sido muy productivo a nivel de pintado. Una vez terminado el perfilado en luz de las zonas de armadura he decidido comenzar con una capa base del resto de las partes para tener una visión de conjunto ya que no voy a utilizar más el aerógrafo en ellas.

This month hasn't been very productive in terms of painting. Once finished the outline of the armour parts, I have decided to start with a base layer of the rest of the parts to get an overview because I'm not using the airbrush anymore in this miniatures.

16. Fusileros de Panoceanía.

Introducción/Introduction

Este mes he comenzado a pintar siete fusileros de Panoceanía, una de las facciones del wargame Infinity.

En esta otra entrada podéis encontrar como he preparado las miniaturas de la caja Operation Icestorm: 5. Comenzando a pintar Operation: Icestorm.

Para los otros fusileros utilicé un proceso algo diferente. Di una capa base de Surface Primer Black 70.062, después utilicé Surface Primer Grey 70.061 y por último White 71.001 intentando conseguir un efecto de luz cenital. Estos pasos suelen ser generales para todas las miniaturas que pinto actualmente. Todo ello mediante aerógrafo.

This month I have started to paint seven fusiliers of Panoceania, one of the factions in the Infinity wargame.

In this other entry you can found how I prepared the Operation:Icestorm miniatures: 5. Comenzando a pintar Operation: Icestorm.

For the others fusiliers I used a slightly different process. I gave a base layer of Surface Primer Black 70.062, then I used Surface Primer Grey 70.061 and finally White 71.001 trying to achieve a cenital light effect. This steps are common in all the miniatures that I paint at the present time. All of that with the airbrush.

15. Faun Woman 2.

Introducción/Introduction

En la entrada de este mes termino la fauno. Es una miniatura preciosa con la que he aprendido mucho. Aún así me queda mucho que mejorar pero será con otras figuras.

In this month entry I finish the faun woman. It is a beautyful miniature which I have learnt a lot. Even so I have a lot to improve but that will be with other figures.

14. Termagantes con perforacarne 4.

Introducción/Introduction

Este mes continuo con los termagantes con perforacarne, empezando la "piel".

This month I continue with the termagants with fleshborers, starting the "skin".

13. Faun woman.

Introducción/Introduction

Este mes he decidido voy a empezar con algo distinto a lo que estoy acostumbrado: un busto de la marca Origen Art. Es la primera vez que pinto algo a escala 1/16 (nunca he pasado de los 28mm) y también es mi primer busto.

Una nueva experiencia.

This month I will start something different from my usual: An Origen Art bust. It is my first time painting 1:16 scale (I've never painted over 28 mm) and so my firt bust.

A new experience.

Preparación/Preparation

La miniatura viene separada en dos partes: el cuerpo y los cuernos.

The miniature comes in two parts: the body and the horns.

El acabado es muy bueno, sin apenas lineas de molde, y los cuernos encajan en su posición sin problemas. Aún así, hay que limar la linea de molde a lo largo del costado de la figura siendo algo difícil de eliminar en algunas zonas.

Es conveniente limpiar la miniatura con agua y jabón para eliminar los posibles restos.

Its finish is pretty good, almost without mold lines, and the horns fit their positions without problems. Still, you have to file the mold line along the side of the figure, which is difficult to get ride of in some parts.

It is convenient to clean the miniature with soap and water to remove any traces.

Imprimación/Imprimation

Aplico la imprimación con aerógrafo en tres pasos distintos. Primero utilizo Surface Primer Black 70.602 de Vallejo de manera uniforme.

I apply the imprimation with airbrush in three diferent steps. Firstly I use Surface Primer Black 70.602 of Vallejo uniformly.

A continuación pinto con Surface Primer Grey 70.601 con una cierta inclinación del aerógrafo para provocar un efecto de luz cenital e ir marcando los volúmenes.

To continue I paint with Surface Primer Grey 70.601 with a bit of angle on the airbrush to make the effect of cenital light and highlighting the volumes.

Y para enfatizar aún más el efecto de la luz utilizo Blanco 71.001 de la gama Model Air de Vallejo.

And to emphasise even more the light effect I use White 71.001 of the Model Air colour range of Vallejo.

Piel/Skin

Pinto mediante aerógrafo la capa base con una mezcla de SC-21 Pink Flesh y SC-22 Arabic Shadow.

Using the airbrush I paint the base layer with a mixture of  SC-21 Pink Flesh and SC-22 Arabic Shadow.

Doy las primeras luces con una mezcla de SC-21 Pink Flesh y SC-19 Golden Skin.

I make the first highlights with a mixture of  SC-21 Pink Flesh and SC-19 Golden Skin.

Enfatizo las sombras con SC-22 Arabic Shadow y SC-23 Indian Shadow.

I emphasise the shadows with SC-22 Arabic Shadow and SC-23 Indian Shadow.

Doy luces más extremas a pincel con SC-19 Golden Skin.

I do extreme highlights with the paintbrush using SC-19 Golden Skin.

Integro las luces mediante SC-21 Pink Flesh, SC-19 Golden Skin y SC-22 Arabic Shadow.

I integrate the highlight through SC-21 Pink Flesh, SC-19 Golden Skin and SC-22 Arabic Shadow.

Sigo trabajando las sombras con una mezcla de SC-22 Arabic Shadow y SC-23 Indian Shadow.

I keep working on the shadows with a mixture of SC-22 Arabic Shadow and SC-23 Indian Shadow.

Sigo con las sombras esta vez sólo con SC-23 Indian Shadow.

Still with the shadows this time only with SC-23 Indian Shadow.

Perfilo a pincel con una mezcla de SC-22 Arabic Shadow, SC-23 Indian Shadow y SC-24 African Shadow.

Y esto es todo para la entrada de este mes. Lo cierto es que en pasos posteriores no me estaba gustando como quedaba la miniatura por lo que acabe despintándola y empezando desde 0. De todas formas, los pasos que he seguido después son en esencia los mismos.

In this is all for this month's post. The truth is that some steps afte I wans't satisfied with the result of the miniature, so I removed the paint and started all over again. Anyway, the steps I followed in the end are essentially the same.

En esta entrada continúo con el pintado del caparazón de los termagantes, por ahora utilizando sólo aerógrafo.

10. Termagantes con perforacarne

Desgraciadamente este mes no he podido avanzar tanto como me hubiera gustado ya que no he tenido tiempo y he estado realizando trabajos varios con las miniaturas.

Uno de esos trabajos ha sido empezar a pintar 21 termagantes con perforacarne para completar a los 9 que tengo ya pintados (de hace años, eso sí).

Unfortunately, this month I haven't been able to advance as much as I would like because I didn't have time and I have been doing differents works with the miniatures.

One of those works has been starting to paint 21 termagants with fleshborers to complete the 9 that I already have painted (very old ones, really).
