Introducción/Introduction

Este mes continuo con los termagantes con perforacarne, empezando la "piel".

This month I continue with the termagants with fleshborers, starting the "skin".

Enmascarar/Masking

Dado que voy a utilizar el aerógrafo y para no tapar zonas ya pintadas, he de enmascar el caparazón. He utilizado 70.523 Liquid Mask de Vallejo.

Insomuch as I'm going to use the airbrush and not to cover painted zones, I must mask the carapace. I have used 70.523 Liquid Mask of Vallejo.

Piel/Skin

Primera capa/First layer

Utilizo una primera capa de 71.003 Scarlet Red de Vallejo que aplico de manera homogénea. 

I use a first layer of 71.003 Scarlet Red of Vallejo that I apply in a homogeneus way.

Segunda capa/Second layer

A continuación doy una capa en las zonas más sobresalientes de 72.009 Hot Orange de Vallejo. En ambas capas he utilizado aerógrafo diluyendo con 71.161 Airbrush Thinner de Vallejo.

To continue I give a layer in the higher zones of 72.009 Hot Orange of Vallejo. I use the airbrush in both layer, thinning with 71.161 Airbrush Thinner of Vallejo.

Desenmascarar/Unmasking

Como ya no pretendo utilizar más el aerógrafo es momento de quitar el enmascarado. Para ello utilizo Blu tac y raspo con un cutter. La máscara había agarrado demasiado bien y me ha costado quitarla. La pintura de debajo ha aguantado bien, pero al manipular la miniatura con las manos me he llevado algo de color con los dedos. Aún necesito más práctica a la hora de utilizar la máscara líquida.

As I do not intend of using more the airbrush, is the moment of remove the mask. For that I use Blu tac and I scrape with a cutter. The mask had grabbed too well and I struggled to remove it. The underlaying paint endured ok, but manipulating the model with the hands I have brought some color with my fingers. I still need more practice in using the liquid mask.
